1902 Three Pence Coin Pendant

A$185.00

This charming three pence coin, dating from 1902, is made of 925 fine silver and was originally used as currency in Edwardian England. At some point in its 123 year life, a hole has been drilled to make it into a pendant, and I’ve added a 9ct gold bale so it can be worn on a chain - a new life for this sweet old coin!

The coin features a crowned 3 on one side, and a bust of King Edward VII on the other, and the pendant can be worn with either side facing forwards.

The coin is worn in spots, and slightly bent, but the lovely decorative details are still clear. The hole that was drilled through the coin is a bit off centre and has left a bit of damage on Edwards head. It has jangled around in coin purses before it was a pendant, so there is some scratching and surface wear, but overall in good shape with lots of life let!

9ct gold bale and 925 silver coin (both unmarked)

Measures approx 22mm long (including bale) and 16mm across.

Weighs approx 1.6g.
