This antique Australian-made beauty is full of old world charm, with a deep blue sapphire flanked by old cut diamond ivy leaves. When this ring was made, around 1900, ivy leaves were a symbol of everlasting love - so this would have been a very sentimental ring for someone!
The sapphire protrudes slightly into the inside of the band, but only slightly and I don’t think it’s uncomfortable to wear. There is some thinning to the back of the band, and it’s very slightly out of round. There’s minor surface wear and scratching to the gold, but overall in great antique condition and ready to wear!
15ct gold, with early Australian hallmarks showing it was made in Victoria, possibly by Willis and Sons, a popular Australian jeweller established in the 1850s.
Size L / US size 5 ¾ - this ring can be resized! Please message me for a quote if you’d like me to resize this ring for you.
Measures approx 6.70mm wide across the front of the ring (at the widest point). Weighs approx 2.45g.
