This classic solitaire is all about this fantastic old mine cut diamond! This diamond was cut in the 1800’s, when diamonds were cut by hand and each one was completely unique. The diamond is approx 0.55ct (estimated in the setting), and has the slightly wonky charm that I love about these old cuts!
The diamond is a warmer colour but very bright and lively. It does have some visible inclusions, although they are only visible under close inspection or under magnification. There are some very small chips around the edge of the diamond. The setting is in great antique condition, with minor surface wear commensurate with age. Overall in great shape and ready to wear!
14ct gold with a platinum setting (marked 18ct but tests lower)
