Opal and Rose Cut Diamond Pendant

Sold Out

This Art Nouveau pendant is an absolute beauty, with a lively bright opal surrounded by rose cut diamonds. The opal has fantastic flashes of green, yellow, red and purple in bright light, and a more mellow milky colour in lower light. It’s a real chameleon! The rose cut diamonds form a lovely border around the opal, and give this over 100 year old pendant so much charm.

The pendant is made of silver topped gold, which was a common way to set diamonds in this period. There is some tarnishing, minor pitting, and surface wear to metal, but overall it’s in good condition. There’s some minor surface wear to the opal, and some small chips to the rose cut diamonds. The 9ct gold bale is new and not original to the pendant. Ready to wear!

14ct gold topped with silver (unmarked but tested to confirm). Bale is 9ct gold.

Measures approx 31mm long including bale by 16.5mm across at the widest point. Weighs approximately 3.3g
