This beautiful antique pendant is like no other I’ve ever seen! It looks like it originally would have been part of another piece of jewellery, and at some point has been converted to a pendant. The conversion has been nicely done, with a simple gold bale that doesn’t detract from the lovely pendant.
The pendant features wonderful hand engraving, seed pearls and turquoise in shades of green and blue. It’s overall in great condition, and dates from the late Victorian period, around 1880. On the back of the pendant you can see where the later bale has been added, as the gold is a bit of a rosier colour than the rest of the pendant. There is some minor scratches to the gold, and some wear to the turquoise, but overall in great condition and ready to wear!
