Vintage Turquoise Harem Ring in 14ct Gold
This kind of ring doesn't come along every day! Each of these five 14ct gold bands is joined at the back of the ring by a hinge - so each band can move on its own while still being one connected piece. This makes it so fun to wear!
The ring has a lovely mix of flat and raised settings, all set with turquoise cabochons. One of the raised cabochons has been replaced by faux turquoise, and this setting is missing one prong, but it's a good colour match and blends in well with the other gemstones. Two of the turquoise have been secured with glue, but are secure in their settings. Some of the larger turquoise are crooked in their settings, which is pretty common for cabochons in this style of setting, and they are secure. There's some surface swear and scratching to the gold, and a couple of the bands are slightly bent out of shape, but nothing major. The ring is in great shape overall and ready to wear!
14ct gold (worn 14k mark and tested to confirm). There's also what I think is a makers mark, but I can only make out the first letter (S).
Measures on my mandrel (ring sizing stick) as a size P - Q (US size 7.75 - 8.25), but fits a little smaller due to the width of the band. I can fit it on my size Q / 8.25 finger, but it's a bit tight - so it all depends on how tight or loose you like to wear your rings!
Measures 15mm across the face of the ring (from top to bottom) and just under 9.5mm wide at the hinge. Each band measures approx 3mm at the front and 0.8mm at the sides. Weighs approx 5.8g.
